Erika, Jim & Colton | Winter Maternity Session at Old Quarry Trail, Ottawa
Erika and Jim were expecting their first baby when we did this session at Old Quarry Trail, and it was also their first time ever doing a photoshoot. I hear that a lot, and I always want people to know that it doesn't matter; a big part of my job is helping you feel comfortable and giving you direction so you're not just standing there wondering what to do with your hands. By the end, most people forget they were nervous at all.
They brought their dog Colton along, which I loved. We got photos together as a family with him, some without, and a few of just Erika on her own. They also brought the cutest little onesie that said "daddy's boy," which we incorporated into a few shots, such a sweet detail. Old Quarry Trail in winter has a really quiet, peaceful quality to it, and the photos reflect that.
Erika and Jim were kind enough to leave me a review afterwards, which meant a lot!
“We had an amazing photoshoot with Thea. This was our first time doing a family photoshoot and first photoshoot ever! She really helped us to be comfortable and instructed us how to pose and gave us ideas beforehand as well. Overall the experience was amazing and the photos came out really beautifully! We even had our dog as part of our family pictures and she’s been very patient with him and even his pictures came out really amazing!
We would definitely hire her and her services again to capture amazing moments and memories with our loved ones! It was really great working with you! The pictures are all amazing and really worth it!!”
If you're expecting and looking for a maternity photographer in Ottawa, I'd love to hear from you.
