Kayla & Josh’s Wedding at Mill Street Brew Pub
Kayla and Josh's wedding day was centred around some of my favourite spots in Ottawa, which made for a really beautiful gallery. They got ready at a hotel near their venue, and we started the day with getting ready photos before heading out for their first look.
For their couple and wedding party photos, we shot around Château Laurier and Major's Hill Park, which is honestly such a great combination downtown. You get the iconic stone backdrop of the Château, and then the park gives you greenery, open space, and some really nice variety.
Kayla and Josh also did private vows together, which is something I always love to be there for. It's such a quiet, personal moment in the middle of what is otherwise a pretty busy day.
Their ceremony and reception were at Mill Street Brew Pub, which sits right on the river. We did sunset photos by the river at the end of the night, and the light was stunning, warm and golden, with Parliament across the water.
The reception had a really warm, fun energy. You could tell Kayla and Josh are really close with their wedding party and their friends. One of her friends even made their wedding cake, which I thought was such a lovely personal touch. We had the shoe game, cake cutting, first dance, and parent dances to round out the evening.
It was a really full, beautiful day.

Kayla & Josh got married in October in downtown Ottawa, with couple portraits around Château Laurier and Major's Hill Park, and a reception at Mill Street Brew Pub with the most beautiful golden light over the river at sunset.
Sierra & Alex had a backyard wedding and chose to spend that day fully present with their guests. So we booked a separate bridal portrait session at Britannia Beach at sunset, and the golden light did not disappoint.
Cara & Clarke's fall wedding day started with a first look under the willow trees at Patterson Creek and ended with everyone on the dance floor at Parlour. One of those days that was beautiful, start to finish.
Sierra and Alex transformed their property into a romantic garden setting that felt straight out of a storybook. Their September backyard wedding was intimate, elegant, and full of heartfelt moments.
Véro and Kurt celebrated their wedding on a warm September day filled with sunshine, soft colours, and heartfelt moments. Their Camelot Golf and Country Club celebration flowed with ease, emotion, and so much joy.
Jess and Drew celebrated their Ottawa wedding with a relaxed, joy-filled evening in the heart of downtown. After eloping in Spain, they gathered their closest friends at the Andaz, Château Laurier, Major’s Hill Park, and The Starling for a small, meaningful celebration. With warm June light, emotional moments, and a fun cocktail party, this short wedding coverage captured everything they wanted: connection, laughter, and the beauty of Ottawa at golden hour.
Stephanie & Doug’s wedding was an intimate, joyful day with family and close friends. From Stephanie wearing her mom’s wedding dress to afternoon lawn games, it was filled with love and laughter.
Jessica & Chris' wedding at the Urban Field House in Windsor, ON was a stunning blend of modern elegance and heartfelt moments. From their emotional first look to a lively reception under twinkling lights, every detail was beautifully captured in a documentary-style approach. As an Ottawa wedding photographer, I specialize in preserving these timeless, authentic memories for couples across Ontario.
