Hi there, I’m Dorothea!
I’m a Swiss photographer who recently moved to Canada. Why you ask? At the risk of sounding cheesy, for love.
My Canadian (now) husband and I met in 2017 while we were both traveling in London, England.
We had an instant connection, and the rest is history. 5 years long distance, and a pandemic later, we finally moved in together!!
Long story short, we chose to settle in Ottawa because we both love nature and it is close to his family, while also giving us a fresh start somewhere new.
I don’t have to tell you this, but there just is something magical in every single wedding. And getting to capture that in images for the couple to cherish for years to come is such a blessing!

Well, it's not as simple as a one-size-fits-all answer, but here's a practical guide!
Consider what moments matter most to you: the getting ready excitement, the first look, heartfelt speeches, or those dreamy sunset photos.
A typical 8-hour timeline can look like this:
1-2 PM: Getting Ready Photos (this can include robe photos with bridemaids, hair and makeup touchups, getting into dress, etc.)
2-2:30 PM: Groom Getting Ready Photos
2:30-3 PM: First Look
3-3:30 PM: Wedding Party
4-4:30 PM: Ceremony
4:30-5 PM: Family Photos (this might need more time if you have a big family, or more than 15-20 groupings)
5-5:30 PM: Bride & Groom Photos
5:30-6:00PM: Enjoy Cocktail Hour
6:15 PM: Grand Entrance
6:30-8:00: Dinner & Speeches
8-8:30 PM: Sunset Photos
8:30-9 PM: First Dance & Parent Dances
Customization is key! The day will fly by, so it's also
important to include enough breathing room between events to give you time to truly be present and let the events sink in.

I know waiting for your photos can feel sooo long! Which is why I will deliver a few previews to you within a week of your wedding day.
You will then receive the remainder of your gallery within 6-8 weeks after your wedding.

As your wedding photographer, I will be involved in some of the planning for your wedding, especially when it comes to the timeline of your day.
Whether your venue provides you with a standard timeline or not, I will help you create and adjust it to your ideal wedding day. This will help the day flow seamlessly with lots of photo opportunities during the day.

You can expect to receive around 75 photos per hour of coverage.

Yes!! I actually am trilingual and I speak French, English and German.
Having grown up in Switzerland, I learned both French and German as a small child, and learned English later on in school.
