Cara & Clarke’s Romantic Fall Wedding at Parlour, Ottawa
This wedding was on a beautiful warm fall day. Cara & Clarke’s photography coverage started with their first look at one of my favourite parks in Ottawa, Patterson Creek. I love this location because of its beautiful flowy willow trees make for such a romantic backdrop. It’s also next to the canal, so you get some sort of waterside shots as well, and we made use of the dock in the canal for some variety in the couple portraits.
After their first look, we had lots of time for their couple portraits. One of my favourite photos to get at a wedding is a photo with the veil flowing in the foreground, and the variation of this we got with Cara & Clarke was one of my favourite photos from their day. Once we had all the couple portraits we wanted, we did some family photos in the park, and then headed to their venue, Parlour, for their ceremony and reception.
When we arrived at the venue, we had some time to spare before ceremony. Cara tucked herself away in the bridal suite downstairs, and I got a few detail photos for them.
I didn’t include many of their guests photos in this post to respect everyone’s privacy, but everyone was having great conversations!
After the ceremony, Cara & Clarke had a cocktail style reception and dinner, with small plates of food for everyone. This kind of dinner is great because everyone can move around different groups and chat to all the guests. It also makes you feel like the party has already started. After a few speeches, Cara & Clarke had their first dance, and then the party really started, with everyone on the dance floor.
It was such a beautiful day, from start to finish.
